Christmas Crooks Steal Holiday Decor

COVINGTON, Ga. - From an inflatable Santa to holiday lights, Covington Police search for the culprit who is literally stealing the holiday spirit.

"We suspect it could be a Grinch," said Officer Allan Seebaran.

Thieves stole the holiday light LED display kit from a home on Turnberry Court, and also took a baby reindeer.

"I went outside to look and they weren't there anymore!" said homeowner Joseph Dipierro.

A thief also stole an entire display of reindeer, Rudolph and Santa from the outside of the At Your Service Marine boat shop. They also attempted to steal the inflatable tree.

"Christmas should be about the children. For somebody to come along and do that-- it's ridiculous!" said Anthony Wynn.

Police are searching for the Grinches while on patrol. They also advise neighbors to keep a close eye on their neighbor's decorations.
