Cherokee County teen earns perfect ACT score

A Cherokee County teen has earned a perfect score on the ACT.

FOX 5 News has learned Woodstock High School senior Katherine Relick achieved the top composite score of 36 on the ACT.

Relick serves as vice president of student government and is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Women in Science & Engineering, Science National Honors Society, Math National Honors Society and she's the president of the Giving Children Hope Club.

Relick has also earned the University of Georgia Merit Award.

Cherokee County Schools said on average, less than one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT, a college entrance and placement test, earn the top score.

More than two million students took the ACT in 2017, and only 2,760 earned a perfect score.
