ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Christmas tree at Centennial Olympic Park will be lit Thursday night and it won't come down after the holidays.
The 30-foot cedar imported from South Carolina will become a permanent fixture in the park and takes over for the artificial tree that was previously used.
The tree could grow up to 70 feet tall and organizers expected it to live for hundreds of years.
