Cedar Shoals teacher arrested outside Athens bar
ATHENS, Ga. - Athens-Clarke County police confirm they arrested a Cedar Shoals High School teacher.
According to a report obtained by FOX 5, Jesse David Evans had two encounters with police late Saturday night into early morning.
Officers said Evans was very intoxicated and they advised him to call a cab and go home after the first incident.
After the second disturbance call they arrested him.
According to officers, Evans claimed he knew the police chief and would "handle the situation."
He faces charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
