UPDATE (March 25, 2019):

Charges have been dismissed against a New Jersey man arrested by Conyers police in April 2018 and accused of human trafficking, according to prosecutors. The Rockdale County District Attorney said the evidence against Brad Gaskins was insufficient to go forward with the case.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Police in Conyers rescued a 20-year-old woman from what investigators said was a sex trafficking operation.

Brad Gaskins, 36, was arrested in connection with that investigation.

Police said the woman had recently moved to Atlanta when she met Gaskins and he offered her a place to stay.

According to police, it turned out to be an extended stay hotel where Gaskins required her to respond to prostitution advertisements he would set up.

Gaskins was charged with sex trafficking.
