Canton church vandalism arrest

CANTON, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Canton Police arrested a man accused of vandalizing a church.

Investigators say 29-year-old Mateo Martinez threw rocks at the action church Sunday morning on Marietta Road damaging several windows.

Officers arrived to find the man hiding near a business across from the church.

Police say Martinez was also wanted for trespassing at another business earlier in the week.

He's facing several charges including, vandalism to a place of worship.
