Brookhaven apartment fire still under investigation

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. - Firefighters spent Friday afternoon battling a large apartment fire in Brookhaven.

The Marq is located on Lincoln Court Avenue NE, along Buford Highway.

According to Brookhaven police, officers were able to make entry into all of the apartments to make sure all residents had been evacuated.  

Firefighters also saved a frightened dog that was located under a bed. The firefighters had to give the dog oxygen. 

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene as flames burst through the roof of the building around noon.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents of 36 units affected by the fire.  The Red Cross has provided assistance to 32 families. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
