Brian Duckworth, country music star and Taylor Made band singer, dies at 56

Brian "Nashville" Neil Duckworth, the country music star and singer for the Taylor Made band, has died. 

He was 56 years old.

Duckworth died at his home on Monday in West Virginia, according to an obituary posted on the Bartlett Funeral Home and Crematory website.

Tina Duckworth, Brian's wife, shared that her late husband was "the most humble and selfless" person you could ever meet.

"He had a huge heart and truly would have given you the shirt off his back. He was a simple man who loved his family deeply and found joy in the things he loved most—singing, hunting, and making people laugh," Tina wrote in a statement to FOX. 

Tina and Brian had been together for 19 years before he passed. The pair met for the first time when they were just babies, according to Tina. 

"He would also tell everyone that he didn’t remember the first time he met me. Of course, people would laugh and assume it was because he had been drinking, and then he would explain that it was because we were only 1 and 2 years old! That was Brian—he loved telling a good story and making people laugh. He touched so many lives just by being the kind of man he was. I only wish he could see the outpouring of love for him and know just how much he truly meant to so many people. Brian will be deeply and sadly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. As his wife, I don’t know how to put into words the emptiness his passing has left behind. My life will never be the same without him. I will forever be grateful for our 19 years together, for every memory we made, every laugh we shared, and for the privilege of loving him and being his wife. He will always be a part of me, and I will carry my love for him in my heart for the rest of my life," she added.

His cause of death was not immediately revealed.

The backstory:

Duckworth began his country music career after he formed Taylor Made with his brother and sister. 

Through the years, Taylor Made performed on stage with several other major artists such as Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, and Miranda Lambert, according to USA Today.

One of their most popular songs was "Things You Don’t Grow Out Of," which landed at No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart. 

When he wasn't performing, Duckworth worked as a dump trucker for Wolfe's Excavating. 

It was "a job he truly enjoyed because it allowed him to spend his days outdoors. Whether working or relaxing, Brian was happiest surrounded by nature," his obituary read. 

Duckworth is survived by his wife, six children, seven siblings and his pets, according to his obituary.
