A 5-year-old South Carolina boy's battle with cancer is quickly becoming an inspiration to thousands.

Jaxon Ingram is fighting for his life, but thanks to postcards from strangers both near and far he knows he's not alone.

"We thought it would be a stretch to say we could get them from all 50 states. But now we're starting to think if there's any continent we're not going to one from really,” said Jaxon’s dad Jason Ingram.

Jason Ingram is referring to postcards sent to Jaxon from all over the world. They include dozens from London, letters from South Korea, and even one from Mickey Mouse himself! All of them barring words of encouragement after Jaxon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia back in October.

"He got one from Hawaii and they sent him two t-shirts and a hat along with a card and it said, 'I want you to visit and I want you to be my little surfing buddy,” Ingram said.

His family said all of the love and support has been overwhelming. They said it has helped keep Jaxon’s spirits up.
