Bond denied for Troup Co. murder suspect
The man authorities believe was involved in the slaying of five people in LaGrange over the weekend appeared before a judge Wednesday after being extradited from Mississippi and returning to a Troup County jail cell Tuesday evening.
Suspect Thomas Jessie Lee was denied bond and his next hearing is scheduled for February 19. He was taken into custody in Tupelo, Mississippi Monday.
Troup County James Woodruff says the suspect, 26-year-old Thomas Jessie Lee, turned up Monday morning at a church in Alcorn County Mississippi after having some kind of car trouble. The Sheriff says Lee wanted to get to Opelika, Alabama and got the pastor to help out.
