Many residents of the historic Collier Heights neighborhood in west Atlanta are breathing a sigh of relief this weekend.

That is in part to a demolition crew brought down a rat infested abandoned home on Venetta Place. It is part of a larger effort by city officials to clean-up blighted areas.
