Search continues for 'dangerous' man accused of murdering Sandy Springs restauranteur

Roberto Dominguez Soto
ROSWELL, Ga. - The search continues for a man who police say is armed and dangerous after murdering his girlfriend in Fulton County.
On Christmas Eve, the Roswell Police Department responded to an area near Azalea Drive and Atlanta Street after a passerby discovered a body in a ditch.
When officers got to the scene near the Chattahoochee River, they found the body of 47-year-old Sandy Springs resident Blanca Sauer. Investigators believe someone had shot Sauer and then discarded her body in the area.
"This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer," said Roswell Police Chief James Conroy. "We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence."
During their investigation, authorities identified 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto as the suspect. Officials say Dominguez Soto was Sauer's boyfriend.
Dominguez Soto is described as a 49-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. Authorities have warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities say Dominguez Soto is also wanted by Interpol on charges connected to firearms possession. The search remains ongoing weeks later.
Anyone with information about Dominguez Soto’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at www.StopCrimeATL.org.
Family members remember Blanca Sauer
Sauer's family has started a GoFundMe to raise money for her funeral expenses.
In the fundraiser, the family described Sauer as "an entrepreneur, friend, aunt, mother, grandmother, and admirable daughter."
"She strived to achieve her goals and never gave up on her dreams. She owned a restaurant that she never gave up on and built from the ground up. She was kind to everyone, treated people with respect, helped those less fortunate, and was always fun to be around," organizer Erika Padierna wrote.
Padierna said that Sauer also loved hiking and taking photographs.
Kelsie Adams, Saucer's stepdaughter, described the woman as "an open, loving, accepting woman who would feed the homeless that would come into her restaurant."
The GoFundMe has raised more than $10,000 as of Monday morning.
