Barrow County man arrested for wife's murder
BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - Detectives have arrested a Barrow County man in the deadly shooting of his wife over the weekend.
Kevin Harrison, 36, called 911 early Sunday morning, stating his wife had been accidentally shot inside their Moss Side Drive home in Bethlehem, according to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. Heather Harrison, 29, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to the hospital where she later died.

"But that story just didn't add up," said Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith.
Sheriff Smith said the story quickly unraveled as investigators pressed Harrison. Investigators said based on interviews, crime scene evidence and statements made by Kevin Harrison, "it was clear this was no accidental shooting."
"What he said, how he said is happened, the angles that he described just didn't make sense when we tried to re-enact it. It was obvious there were holes in his story. He eventually told us he pulled his weapon out, pulled the trigger and it shot her in the head," said Smith.
Sheriff Smith said the toddler was at home at the time of the shooting, but it's not clear whether the child heard or saw the shooting.
"If the two year old was a witness, then there may be additional charges filed but we're still investigating that part of the matter," Sheriff Smith said.
Harrison was arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was booked into the Barry County Detention Center.
"It should never end this way. These kids have lost their mother and are potentially going to lose their father. I just hope that when people find themselves in domestic situations like this that they will reach out for help--from a church, from the community--somewhere and just get the help they need," said smith
