Barcelona Wine Bar murder reward increased to $33K

The amount of money being offered for information leading to an arrest in the Barcelona Wine Bar murder has been increased to $33,000.

Authorities said Chelsea Beller was murdered last month during a robbery at the restaurant, located on Northwest Atlanta's Howell Mill Road.

According to police, three gunmen burst into the restaurant at closing time. They tied up the other employees and forced Beller to open the safe. Despite complying with all of the robbers' demands, they shot and killed the 29-year-old.

Detectives call it one of the worst murders they've seen captured on surveillance video.

Monday night, Beller's friends and members of the Atlanta hospitality community gathered to remember her and raise money for her family.  The event also raised awareness to the dangers hospitality workers face, and the need for local bars and restaurants to hire proper security to protect them.

Those attending the fundraiser called Beller a kind, wonderful, fierce person. She was well known among the local hospitality community for her magnetic personality and her often changing bright-colored hair.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Atlanta Police or Crimestoppers at (404) 577-TIPS.
