Wells Fargo is working to support homeless families living in Atlanta.

The bank presented a $200,000 check to Atlanta's mayor Tuesday.

Keisha Lance Bottoms said the donation will help provide rapid re-housing opportunities for 140 homeless Atlanta residents.

The city said it's taking extra steps to care for the homeless as temperatures continue to drop.

That includes making extra room in shelters as well as activating warming shelters.

Officials said the Wells Fargo donation will be matched by the organization Home First which works to provide services and shelter to the homeless.
