"I just started seeing smoke coming out of the red molding at the top and I just said that doesn't look like barbecue," said Shane Many, who works nearby.

A FOX 5 viewer sent in video showing heavy smoke coming from a smaller building near the main restaurant, which was not affected by the blaze.

The restaurant, located at 1811 Piedmont Avenue, is currently closed.

Karen Hedin, who manages the popular restaurant, says the flames completely destroyed the catering building, which also housed supplies for the main restaurant.

"The rib shack will stay open we are closed right now because we lost electricity," she said.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Hedin says she hopes to have the business back open Tuesday.

The ordeal caused major traffic delays in the area as crews had to redirect traffic on Piedmont Avenue while they worked to get the fire under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
