Atlanta woman's car stolen three times

ATLANTA - For the third time, authorities have helped reunite Rachael Jamison with her Jeep Cherokee.

It's been stolen in the city of Atlanta three times.

"Hard to think it's not somebody I know that's doing it, or, it's a prank," Jamison said.

Her Jeep was stolen for the third time this past July. Neighbors in the Glenwood Park caught the vehicle on surveillance, after thieves broke into a home and sped off in Jamison's Jeep Cherokee.

After we aired the original story, tips came in to Atlanta Police to help authorities locate the vehicle, and apprehend one of the burglary suspects.

"I'm thankful I don't have to ride a bike anymore," Jamison said.

Police said older model vehicles, such as the Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Caravan, are prime targets for car thieves. Other cars often stolen include Honda Accords, Dodge Challengers, Chargers and other Dodge models.

Police advise people with older model vehicles to invest in a GPS tracking system, an alarm, or even a club for the steering wheel. Authorities also advise parking such a vehicle in a garage.
