Atlanta Police search for missing 54-year-old man

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police in Atlanta are searching for a missing 54-year-old man.

Charles Taylor was last seen by staff onsite at Nurse Care of Buckhead along Pharr Court South around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said Taylor has trouble walking and his wheelchair was found empty by the ground floor elevators. Police said he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was homeless before entering the facility in October.

Police described Taylor as being 5'11" tall, weighing about 210 pounds, with brown eyes, and low cut hair. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue pants, and red socks without shoes.

Taylor is just a week shy of his 55th birthday and authorities are hoping they can find him soon so they can celebrate. They are especially worried due to the cold weather forecasted.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.
