Atlanta Police post lookout for murder suspect
ATLANTA - Atlanta Police posted a lookout Friday for a murder suspect who they say shot a man after he answered his door.
The Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit asked for the public’s assistance in locating Jarmaine Reynolds. The 20-year-old is wanted for murder in connection with last month’s killing of Rashaud Broner.
Officers responded to the residence at 1631 Stanton Road Southwest on August 19, where they found Broner with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Officers learned Broner answered a knock on his door when he was confronted by several males armed with handguns.
After an altercation, the victim was shot.
Medics rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Police describe Reynolds as an African-American male with black hair and brown eyes, 5’6’, and weighing 150 pounds.
Police ask anyone who may recognize Reynolds or has any information of his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers.
