Atlanta Police officer hurt in car wreck while on-duty

ATLANTA - An Atlanta Police officer was hurt in a car wreck early Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of Marietta Boulevard and Elaine Avenue in northwest Atlanta. 

According to police, the officer was in pain after the wreck but is in stable condition. 

The officer was on-duty at the time of the accident. 

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene around 12:15 p.m. Thursday.
