Atlanta Police: 2 armed robbers steal pizza delivery driver's car, cash

ATLANTA - Police are looking for two armed robbers after a pizza delivery driver reported they robbed him of his cash and car while on the job.

The incident happened around noon Monday on Twin Tendrils Drive in southwest Atlanta.

The victim said the house looked vacant but he approached a door to make the delivery. Once at the door, he told officers two armed men forced him inside and took his cash. They then asked for his keys. The victim said he told the men he left the keys in his vehicle. After hearing that, the duo ran outside the home and drove off in the car, according to authorities.

A manager at the Papa John's on Cascade Parkway confirmed to FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell the victim works at the store. However, she would not provide any other comments.

Papa John's released a statement regarding the incident, "The safety of our team members is a top priority; we are very thankful our driver was not injured and is safe. We have offered him counseling and will continue to cooperate with local enforcement throughout the investigation."  - Papa John's Spokesperson

Atlanta Police said the pair did not injure the pizza delivery driver during the incident.

They got away in a silver 2006 Nissan Altima.
