ATLANTA - Several Atlanta city council members honor Actor Louis Gossett, Jr. for his contributions to the entertainment industry as an African-American performer.
During Monday's City Council meeting, Councilman Matt Westmoreland presented the Oscar winner with a proclamation to honor his accomplishments.
He was also presented with a Phoenix Award from the Office of the Mayor.
Gossett has done several projects in Atlanta and now his ties to the city are even deeper.
