Atlanta establishes new jobs-training program

ATLANTA - Atlanta's mayor announces the establishment of a new jobs-training program.

It's called the Center for Workforce Innovation.

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms says the program will provide greater opportunity for residents to acquire the skills needed to earn higher wages and better provide for themselves.

The center will be housed at Atlanta Technical College.

Mayor Bottoms says it has the potential to transform workforce opportunity in Atlanta.

Officials say the program is the result of a partnership between the city, the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and Atlanta Technical College.
