Atlanta airport's new terminal road canopy span

More signs of progress on the $265 million construction project underway at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Images posted to the airport’s Twitter account show the first canopy span has been secured. The canopies are being built across the north and south terminal roadways.

 

 

 

 

Mayor Kasim Reed said the additions will increase efficiency and ease traffic congestion at the world's busiest airport.

Reed said the steel beams were made in America and architects from across the country helped with the design.
