Woodstock police have made an arrest in a road rage shooting investigation.

The incident happened Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. at an I-575 North ramp.

Police said a man and his teenage son got into an altercation with another driver, and that other driver was Matthew Kennedy. Investigators said the man and his son pulled over because Kennedy was riding very close to their rear bumper.

Police told FOX 5 Kennedy pulled alongside them and fired one shot into the vehicle, then drove off. The father was shot in the hand, but managed to drive to the next exit and call 911.

Police said Kennedy turned himself in Friday afternoon.
