MARTA Police are hoping newly released surveillance images will help catch a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman near the Indian Creek transit station on June 14.

Investigator said the man was spotted wearing a red, white and blue t-shirt with the pattern of the American flag on it. They also said he has a goatee and noticeable acne on his face.

"Unfortunately we have not been able to identify him, so we're hoping a member of the public can help identify him," said Marta Police Sergeant Ernest Cloud. Cloud said they believe the man is a regular user of the MARTA transit system.

More than three weeks ago, a woman was dragged into the woods by a suspect and sexually assaulted on a road near that MART station. Since then, police have stepped up patrols and have been following every lead.

Riders also said they're taking extra precautions. Several women told FOX 5 they are being more aware of their surroundings and being more cautious when walking to the parking lot.

If you have any tips or recognize the man in the picture you can call MARTA Police or Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
