The search is on for an armed robber after a brazen crime Thursday at a Denny's just outside Norcross.

Gwinnett County Police said a man stormed into the store overnight on Jimmy Carter Boulevard. He held a gun to the manager's head and demanded money from a safe, according to the incident report.

Frightened employees ran across the street to a gas station to call the police. FOX 5 News obtained surveillance video that showed the servers running into the station and speaking with responding officers.

Cpl. Michele Pihera told FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell the man ran away from the business. And employees informed them that the business cameras only captured a live feed of the incident, so they didn't have surveillance from the crime itself to turn over.

"We are looking for this man. We don't have an identity on him. But if someone is familiar with this person or familiar with the clothing that he was wearing or even understanding that he was missing for a period of time early Thursday, we encourage them to call us or Crime Stoppers," Pihera said.

The only available description is that the man had on a black jogging suit with a white stripe on the side. Employees also said he had a shirt or a hoodie over his head.
