Armed man arrested at Henry County hotel

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - Henry County Police arrested a man Monday morning after they say he fired a shot inside a hotel building. Guests were evacuated from the hotel as officers searched for the armed man.

Authorities said officers went room-to-room at Home Two Suites on Mill Road in McDonough after the man fired a shot that broke a glass door. No hotel guests or employees were injured, police said. 

Police said they found traces of blood at the scene. Even after taking the suspect into custody, officers continued searching the hotel to make sure the situation was under control.
