PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (FOX 11) - A plane carrying none other than Aquaman himself was forced to make an emergency landing at the Palm Springs International Airport after a reported engine fire Wednesday morning.
It appears a Cessna carrying movie star Jason Momoa was flying from Los Angeles to Phoenix when the plane diverted to Palm Springs.
"We got ourselves a slight delay. Half hour out in Palm Springs and the plane wanted to start a fire. Good ol ' fire department. Gotta love them," said Momoa in his Instagram stories.
Crews inspected the plane and the reported plane fire turned out to be a false alarm, according to an Instagram post by the Palm Springs Professional Firefighters Local 3601 Union. The group posted a photo of Momoa posing with a Palm Springs firefighter.
Momoa and his crew eventually continued on their way with filming equipment.
