Annual Taste of Marietta food festival draws 80,000

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - About 80,000 people attended the annual Taste of Marietta festival in northern Atlanta.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports huge crowds descended on the historic Marietta Square in Cobb County to sample food and drink from over 75 restaurants, caterers and food carts Sunday.

Food tents lined all four streets of the square, selling everything from pulled pork sandwiches to eggrolls and bubble tea. The festival also featured a kid's area, live music and a cooking stage with culinary demonstrations.

Taste of Marietta is the longest running food festival in Cobb County. The event is run by the Marietta Visitors Bureau and the City of Marietta.
