MARIETTA, Ga. - The City of Marietta has announced that all railroad crossings around the Marietta Square are now open again after a Tuesday afternoon emergency shut them down for several hours.
A train was reportedly stopped on the tracks, blocking Whitlock Avenue and surrounding streets.
At the time, officials estimated up to a two-hour delay before the train could be moved. Drivers were encouraged to look for alternate routes.
By 9 p.m., a spokesperson told FOX 5 that the train was moved and streets were reopened.
