Alabama escapee may be in northwest Georgia

ROME, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Floyd County officials are searching for an inmate who escaped from Alabama authorities.

Officials said Derick Stone escaped from authorities in Leesburg and may now be in Floyd County.

Stone faces multiple felony warrants.

Anyone who sees him or may have any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Floyd County Police Department.
