5-year-old injured in crash dies, additional charges pending

DECATUR, Ga. - A 5-year-old boy has died after an accident involving a woman who police say was driving under the influence.

Tuesday, fundraising efforts were underway for the family of Miles Jenness.

One of his former teachers started the GoFundMe page.

Decatur Police say the accident happened last Thursday on Midway Road.

Police say Michelle Wierson ran into the car he was in.

Jenness passed away from his injuries over the weekend.

Police say additional charges against Wierson are pending.
