3-year-old child found unresponsive in Hogansville

A 3-year-old child was found unresponsive in bed on May 6, and rushed to the hospital, according to the Hogansville Police Department. Investigators say the child was struck in the head by a remote control truck by a younger brother the previous night while the mother was at work.

Medical personnel were not able to revive the child at the West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, according to police. The child was brought in by a family member that resided in the 100 block of Boozer Street in Hogansville, according to officials.

The investigation is still ongoing.
