3-Day Walk raises awareness, money to fight breast cancer

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this weekend a sea of pink will be flowing through metro Atlanta.

The Atlanta Susan G Koman 3-Day Walk will travel 60 miles through Sunday.

The walk began Friday morning in Stone Mountain Park. It went through Decatur Friday and will end at the Georgia World Congress Center Friday night.

The final destination for Sunday evening is SunTrust Park.

Organizers said the people participating and the energy that they bring to the walk make the event that much better.

The Atlanta 3-Day Walk has raised more than $59 million in the fight to end breast cancer since 2005, according to organizers.
