20-year-old shot several times, police search for gunman

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A young man is fighting for his life after being shot late Thursday night in DeKalb County.  

Police were called out to the Creekside Forest apartment complex on Ember Drive around 11 p.m.  Arriving officers found the 20-year-old victim, who had been shot several times in the upper torso.

Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where at last check he was in critical condition.

Investigators don't think the victim lived in the complex, but said it appears he knows people who do.  

Detectives said it's early in the investigation and, at least for now, they have no suspect, motive or witnesses to the shooting.
