2 Men Injured in DeKalb County Shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A late night party turned violent leaving two people critically injured.

Police said there was a large gathering at a home at the end of the cul de sac on West Austin Court.  The homeowner complained about the noise and asked everyone to go outside. On the front lawn an argument broke out and someone started shooting. Two victims were hit: one in the torso, the other in the face.

The man shot in the torso was loaded into a car, which was driven to a nearby QT on Covington Highway. An off duty police officer rendered aide and notified the department about the shooting. Officers arriving at the home located the victim. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are trying to determine the exact cause of the argument, but said it could been over the purchase of some guns. Investigators tell us they have good leads in the case.  A number of persons of interest are being questioned and an arrest could come soon.
