ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say two people have been charged with killing a teen who was reported missing in Alpharetta, and whose body was later found in central Georgia.

Multiple news outlets reported Saturday that Alpharetta police said 20-year-old Hali Karlin of Roswell and 19-year-old Deri Bonaventure-Flores of Norcross are charged with murder. The slain teen was identified as 16-year-old Elijah Smith. His body was found Saturday in a wooded area near Interstate 16 in Twiggs County.

Smith had been reported missing Tuesday. Police say he had met two people at an extended stay hotel in Alpharetta and left with them. Police told reporters they believe Smith was killed inside a vehicle not far from the hotel and his body was driven to Twiggs County.

Authorities don't know the motive for his slaying.
