18-year-old man accused of molesting multiple children

Deputies in Haralson County arrested an 18-year-old man for child molestation this week.

Jerry Timm was arrested March 31 and charged with six counts of child molestation, four counts of electronically furnishing obscene materials to minors and one count of obstruction.

Investigators said Timm was known in the neighborhood as a “polite young man” who attended church and would frequently be invited to other neighbor’s homes.

"This is a local man who seemed harmless, but in reality, has preyed on children in our community. I am glad that it was reported so it could be investigated and an arrest could be made for the safety of our children," stated Sheriff Eddie Mixon.

Investigators are searching for other possible victims.

"This investigation is still ongoing, we are trying to make sure we have not missed any possible victims and that we have charged the offender correctly", stated Investigator Jason Bowman, the lead investigator on this case.

The details surrounding Timm’s charges were not immediately released.

Investigators are asking anyone with information in the case or if they suspect they know of another victim to contact Investigator Bowman with the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office.
