10 Million dollar METH bust from 2 Atlanta homes

Atlanta Police Narcotics and Drug investigators executed simultaneous search warrants at two homes on Nelms Drive. They broke up what they call 'a major meth operation in southeast Atlanta.'

At one location, a fully operational Methamphetamine Laboratory was discovered.

"Approximately 41lbs of crystal methamphetamine and 50 gallons of the liquid form of methamphetamine which if converted to the crystal form would equal approximately 250lbs. All combined it would have a street value of more than 10.8 million. Also recovered was more than $35,000 in cash as well as a 9mm gun and 3 vehicles" officials noted.

One person was arrested and we're told more arrests could take place.

The DEA's clandestine laboratory team along with Atlanta Fire was called in to process the laboratory.

The street value of the drugs seized has yet to be released.

FOX 5 will provide updates into the investigation.
