Westin Chef carves up some 'cool' holiday treats

It’s no secret that to be a successful chef, one needs to have good knife skills.  But the Executive Chef at one downtown Atlanta hotel takes that to the extreme, carving up some very “cool” creations perfect for holiday entertaining.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning with Westin Peachtree Plaza Executive Chef Russell Sleight, who supplements his culinary talents with some pretty impressive ice carving skills.  Chef Russell demonstrated a shrimp cocktail design that replaces the chilled martini glass with a hand-carved ice bowl, something he says can be done in less than 30 minutes and can not only keep the shrimp fresh but also serve as a sleek table centerpiece.
