Weekend tour explores Virginia-Highland homes
ATLANTA - It’s one of Atlanta’s best-loved neighborhoods, and now some of its most beautiful homes will open their doors for a special weekend tour showcasing the style (and food!) of Virginia-Highland.
The Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes is taking place Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4, and will feature eight properties representing various styles of architecture and interior design. This year’s lineup includes everything from an early-1900s bungalow to a modern home with rooftop deck. Local restaurants including Highland Tap, Atkins Park, and Marlow’s Tavern will also provide tastings at each of the homes from noon until 4 p.m. both days. Tours take place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. The money raised from the tour goes to the Virginia-Highland Civic Association, a non-profit organization which supports improvement projects in the neighborhood.
Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning getting a preview of the home tour, taking a look inside some of the most striking properties Virginia-Highland has to offer.
