Want to be an Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader?

Atlanta Falcons prepare for the 2015 cheerleader auditions and encourage enthusiastic women with dance/cheer backgrounds with a positive attitude and winning smile to audition. Today on Good Day Atlanta Cheerleader Nicole and choreographer, Jakene Ashford stopped by to discuss the weekend's auditions with anchor Karen Graham. So what does it take to be an Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader? First of all you must meet the following requirements provided by the Falcons:

Must be at least 18 years of age by June 7, 2015

Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. by June 7, 2015

Must have a part-time or full-time job or be a college student. (Being a mother is considered a full-time job)

If you meet the requirements the next step is to attend the auditions this Sunday May 3, 3015 at the Georgia International Convention Center. See information below:

Preliminary Auditions

Registration will take place from 7:45-9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3 at the the Georgia International Convention Center. Auditions will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Attire: A two-piece leotard (bra top and dance trunks), skin-tone/matte tights and tennis or dance shoes (color of your choice). No dance pants, please!

What to Bring:

A recent non-returnable photo (snapshot accepted), a valid photo ID, a light lunch/drink, a non-refundable $30.00 (cash or money order) application fee, your application and a resume. Applications can be found at: http://www.atlantafalcons.com/cheerleaders/2015-cheerleader-auditions.html

There will be at least two cuts following preliminary auditions. Finalists will be announced following the second cut. Should you become a finalist, there will be a mandatory 15-minute interview and dance/fitness boot camp on Monday, May 4. This will be arranged at the preliminary audition. The final cut will be announced on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m.

If you advance, final auditions will take place at 6:30p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 at the college Football Hall of Fame. All instructions and location for Final Auditions will be provided during finalist interviews.

Audition Prep Classes

The Falcons offer prep classes for Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders auditions. Prep classes provide participants with an overview of the program along with a brief Q&A session and dance combination instructions which are similar to those performed during dames. One participant from each class will automatically advance to finals.

One-Class Session May 2 at 2p.m. - 3:30p.m.at the Midtown Athletic Club cost $40
