Supercross returns to Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Another “super” event is taking over Mercedes-Benz Stadium this weekend — but this one doesn’t involve a football. Saturday, the bravest riders on two wheels will take the dirt in a loud, rowdy, and high-flying fight to the finish.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross returns to Atlanta Saturday, March 2nd, bringing the sport’s top stars to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Already filled with 5,000 tons of dirt for last weekend’s Monster Jam, the stadium floor will now be transformed into an off-road motorcycle dirt track filled with jumps and obstacles, and will serve as Round 9 of the 2019 season.

Supercross practice and qualifying begin at Noon Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. There will also be a Supercross FanFest from Noon to 6:00 p.m. outside in the Home Depot Backyard, and spectators can buy a can of Monster Energy from any RaceTrac or Kroger location to recycle at the entrance for free entry to the FanFest.  Race time at the stadium is at 6:30 p.m.

Several riders stopped by Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday afternoon to get the first look at this year’s setup, and we caught up with Kyle Swanson and Vann Martin to learn more about the excitement of Supercross in Atlanta!
