Spring Break Adventures: Ziplines at Chattahoochee Nature Center
ROSWELL, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Roswell’s Chattahoochee Nature Center is already a popular outdoor spot, with a beautiful lake and trails spread out over more than a hundred acres. But now, brave visitors will get to explore the property in a whole new way – thanks to an adventurous new addition.
Chattahoochee Nature Center’s new Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventure zipline and eco-canopy tour is open just in time for Spring Break week, taking guests on a unique – and challenging, at times – trip through the treetops more than 50 feet above the ground.
The aerial adventure was created and installed by American Adventure Park Systems, the team behind West Georgia’s famed Historic Banning Mills, and features a total of 40 challenge elements in three levels. Level one (the Aerial Adventure Course) is available to those ages four and up, and includes ziplines and suspension bridges.
Level two (the Zipline Canopy Tour) is for those ages 8 and older, and features a dozen additional elements including 500 feet of ziplines.
Level three combines the other two levels for a complete, three-hour adventure over all 40 challenges.
The level one tour costs $34.95 per person, in addition to the $10 CNC admission fee ($6 for children ages 3 to 12). Kids ages 4 to 9 must be accompanied by an adult. The level two tour runs $49.95, in addition to CNC admission, and participants just be at least 8 years old. Level three costs $79.95 plus admission, and is also for those ages 8and up.
The maximum weight limit for all three levels is 250 pounds for women and 285 pounds for men.
