School administrators and teachers work hard to help students excel in school, but one Michigan businessman believes he's found a better way to improve grades: he's paying for students.

According go the Detroit Free Press, Glenn Shaw has pledged $50,000 to John Glenn High School. Every student that improves their grades will receive $400 at the end of the school year and the student with the most improvement will receive a 1 year scholarship.

A total of 400 students have signed up and apparently the offer has inspired the teachers at JGHS as well.

Nearly the entire staff and the district's superintendents have signed up to serve as mentors.
