North Georgia Zoo throws winter to the wolves

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter some of nature’s most magnificent creatures, and if your only experience with wolves is through moves like Twilight, you might just end up howling in surprise at what you learn.

Right now, Cleveland’s North Georgia Zoo is offering Winter Wolf Encounters on Saturdays through January and February.  An "experience" costs $94 per person, and allows guests the chance to work with one or two of the zoo’s wolves, assisting with a training session and taking photographs with the animals.  For $35, guests can book a 15-20 minute "encounter" with a young wolf.  The minimum age for the Wolf Encounter is eight years old, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult during the encounter.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the North Georgia Zoo, getting up close and personal with the facility’s wolves and learning more about what makes them to special.
