New experience provides 'Escape' to Battery visitors

You know the saying – “There’s gold in them thar hills.”  And now, you have a chance to find prospector Clyde Hamilton’s stash.  But you’ve only got one hour to uncover the treasure, with the help of your friends and family and some well-hidden clues. Will you find it before the bad guys do?

That’s just one of the adrenaline-pumping adventures you’ll find yourself getting into at The Escape Game, the newest addition to Atlanta’s booming The Battery.  By now, you’re probably familiar with the escape room concept – you and your friends are locked in a room, and you’ve got limited time to put together the puzzle of clues and get out – and The Escape Game is one of the country’s leaders in the popular experience, with locations in cities including Chicago, Dallas, and Orlando.

The Escape Game Atlanta features five different adventures: Gold Rush (which we described above), Prison Break, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, Playground, and The Heist. Each one may be booked online, and capacity for the rooms is eight players (and 12 for Playground). Each of the games costs $34.99 per person, plus tax, and there’s no age limit – although an adult must participate with any player that is 14 years old or younger.

When it comes to great teamwork, patience, and controlling emotions, the Good Day feature team is …well … OK, maybe not so good.  But that doesn’t mean we’re not up for the challenge of beating the clock and making it out of the adventures at The Escape Game Atlanta. So, we spent the morning there – click the video player above to see how we did!
