Must Ministries summer lunch program seeking volunteers

Plenty of children across north Georgia have at least one good meal a day in their school cafeteria. But, when school's out for summer, many have to rely on the kindness of others to keep from going hungry. Anita Moulder, a grandmother and stay at home caretaker of three girls, says she turns to the MUST Ministries Summer Lunch program to help fill some tiny stomachs. "The kids are out of school and they're used to the school lunches and the lunch they bring here, takes up for the lunch they had at school." says Moulder.

Volunteers pack as more than seven thousand lunches a week day and distribute them to eight counties in north Georgia. Josh Blanco, a volunteer driver carefully pulls into one low income apartment complex after another delivering sack lunches with friend Rosie Nunez. Blanco says he's excited to see the smiles on the children's faces.

Back at Anita Moulder's apartment, three young girls enjoy sandwiches, snacks and juice boxes. Moulder says she's thankful for the program filling the children she cares for. "It's heartbreaking to see a child go hungry," says Moulder. "
