McNair High School shoe project

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Some DeKalb County High School students have taken their service project global.

Students at McNair High School collected thousands of shoes for countries in need.

Monday, those shoes were picked up so they can be shipped to people around the world.

FOX 5 News spoke with students who say they wanted to be a part of the effort to help lift up developing communities.

The shoes will be shipped to several countries including Guatemala, Bolivia, Haiti, and Honduras.
